I have a AMD Radeon Sapphire Dual-X R9 280x and a Gigabyte Z87X-D3H. I installed everything and when I start up the PC, I can't use the GPU. The GPU fans and lights are turning on but I can't use HDMI or DVI. Any ideas?

Solution
Installing graphic cards is pretty simple, just seat them into the pci e slot, plug in the connectors and let the installer take care of the driver. Try to put the gpu and psu in another system if you can, I know not everyone has extra computers around but we need to trouble shoot hardware issues. Could also try running the installer as admin.
whoops, read it as 787x not z87. I'm going to assume you installed the power cables and everything properly, 1 6 pin and 1 6+2 pin and have a large enough power supply. If you're building from scratch you should install all the hardware together, go online to amd's website and find the latest driver and download from there. Sounds either like a power issue or driver one.

When I download the driver, it says that it failed.

The only thing I'm not sure of is in the system bios, which PCIE slot(I have it in slot one) and the slot config(I have it set to auto)

So are you saying that it should just work when I put it in? Because that isn't happening.
