[SOLVED] GPU not working

If I use my old 7670 everything is fine.
However, if I replace it with the new 7950 using a 6 pin and the 6+2 pin connector the fans spin but nothing else happens!
Did I get a DOA card?

Did the HD 7670 come with the pc?

Also which psu is used? =maker+model+wattage.

The 7670 did come with the cpu, but as mentioned everything works totally normally with the 7670. However, when I switch to the 7950 is the issue 🙁

short is that with the old gpu in you disable secure boot in the bios,save =F10+y and restart. Shut down,replace the 7670 with the 7950 again and try if you can get to a screen.

I'm currently using windows 7 and cannot locate the secure boot option

See a security tab,what under there? Clicked abit further and there under "Secure Boot Configuration" should you find the "secure boot" and legacy support" options which you should change. So secure boot to disabled and legacy support to enabled.

Not sure if this would help or not, it says its unsupported maybe that's why I'm not finding it?

Maybe,hard to say,but still think this prohibits using the HD 7950. Maybe talk to HP,open een account on their support page.

Maybe the maker of the gpu makes a difference. Think from what i remember is that the gpu is on the supported list so can't see any other reason for not working.
