gpu OC no effect-- IS MY GPU "DEFECTED"

hi guys i have a msi n 760 tf graphic card when i OC it,it shows the clocks increased , but there is no effet in th games . SO is my gpu defected or ok because the games work fine everything works fine .its just that some times my moniter goes blank for about 2-3 seconds rarely but i think thats the moniter not the gpu. please tell me guys what do u think

Overclocking gpu doesn't mean increasing your game performance drastically. It could be just 0-8 fps increase. If your monitor blanks, lower your overclocks until stable. Your gpu is not defective.

thank u man for d quick response .its good to know that its not defective but there is no change in d benchmarks in heaven when i oc my gpu. i have fx 6300 which i always run at stock could dat b bottlenecking my gpu oc power

The overclock may not have any effect on benchmarks. I wouldn't worry about benchmark on Heaven. If your gpu works, just leave it as it is.

So ur saying it's not neccessary that always there is increase in FPS n I shouldn't oc my gpu

Overclock is considered as a hobby and you don't have to overclock everything. Most of the time overclocking gives 1-5% performance increase.
If you graphic card already works, there is nothing wrong and it is not defective because it is working. If it is defective, then your graphic card will not give a display then.
