Question gpu only using 0.1/8.0 gb of vram why?

I have a r9 390x and a ryzen 5 1600 and today i powered on my computer after it had been working fine the day before and now it only wants to use max one gig of vram out of the 8 it has even when in very intensive games.

I do not want some double digit IQ poor excuse for a human telling me that "your gpu will only use all the ram when it needs it." because the very day before it was using all the vram and had great frame rates ive seen that responce so many times and it is so very wrong so if someone could please help me with an actual answer that would be great.

Try to test it in another computer but you may have a GPU failure

Do you have a computer shop you can go to you and have them test it?

Your GPU will only use all the ram when it needs it. Hehe I just had to!
On a realistic note:
I would try to reinstall drivers for your GPU.
Have you installed any windows updates right before this issue happened?
What games are you playing?

lol i just about lost it when i started to read lmao but any way no i didnt update anything before this happened and all drivers are current i might try to reinstall them though and im playning PUBG CSGO and Destiny 2

It won't hurt to reinstall drivers after removing them completely. Do you see the card utilized but just not vram?
