GPU only working after every other reboot.

I have having some problems with my graphics card/ motherboard. when the computer is left off for a while and is turned on nothing is display on the screens and you can hear windows starting up. after holding down the power to restart, upon restart there is video. it does this every time i restart the machine.

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H Rev. 1.1
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7770
PSU: Corsair 600w

Turn off PCI express power saving feature in Power Options.

Go to Power Options \ Change Power plan settings \ Advanced settings. There you can turn off PCI express power-save feature.

I do not know if this helps. But worth trying.

Thanks for the tip. turns out the card was defective. i returned it and got a 550ti.
