gpu operating temperature

what is good operating temperature for x1950 pro.
my card runs 50C when idle. 65C under load.

my 68gt ran at 110c for a couple of months before i found the problem 8O

sapphire x1950 pro pci-x. like many others i had problem with that card. it used to turn off when the GPU temp reached 65C and ambient temp about 60C. i added a heatsink to a chip i found got very hot. now the ambient temp never goes above 51C and the card doesnt turn off even at GPU temp 75C.
i run ati tray tool while playing games and my gpu temp stays about 62C while playing games.

there fine, gpus always run hot

I have two 7600GT OC cards that woud run about that hot. I just made a vent and put a fan blowing cool air on them and now down to 46º idle and around 50º or so under load.

... ambient temp about 60C..... now the ambient temp never goes above 51C....

I'm hoping you mean "idle" instead of "ambient", or you've got a pretty hot house!

Its funny, I wasn't satisfied with my temps even through I installing the new fan. So I reversed the fan making it any exhaust right over the GPUs and my temp went down even more a few degrees. Its something to think about.
