Hey guys. I was wondering which will i need more. A new GPU or a new CPU. I have a AMD FX 8320 and a GTX 660 at the moment. But i only get like 20-30 fps in dayz standalone. I play a lot of CS:GO also but i get really good fps in that. I also like to play games like skyrim and far cry 4. I get 45 fps in far cry and 60-90 fps in skyrim. I have a 400-450 dollars budget. I just need to know what i should get between a CPU and GPU. P.S. the games i play the most are Dayz standalone and CS:GO. So whatever would help those more is what i really care about.

for now you would be best off riding with a gtx970 for $330 and wait for skylake to come out. if you are not overclocked, get a noctua nd14 and overclock your fx 8 core as far as you can. down the road when skylake comes out you can reuse the cooler in it since noctua will send you a fan mount for free if skylake ends up being a different from 1155/1150 mounts.

go with a newer GPU the 660 is starting to lag behind for newer games and your 8320 should still be solid for a bit. With that budget go with a GTX970 or R9 290. As long as your PSU can handle the upgrade you should be gravy.

Hey if you could help me overclock some time that would be great. If you could help me overclock my ram (1333) which it can go up to 1600. If you could help me with that I would appreciate it.
