gpu or motherboard?

i have an issue with my pc, my r9 380 has either stopped working or the motherboard went out. I have tried swapping the gpu with a gtx560 that last known was working. system still doesn't work. I then swapped in my firepro v4800 which is powered through the pcie slot, now it's working. I replaced the pcu with another one to see if it wasn't powering enough any more the issues still happen with the other psu. So are my r9 380 and gtx 560 dead? or is it my motherboard?

silverstone sfx 600 psu
new psu is a new thermaltake t2

Really strange, from what you say, seems like the motherboard should be fine, however doubt both GPUs died. Can you try running either GPU without plugging in the additional PCIE power connector. And also can you try running the GPUs in a different PCI-E slot?

the gpu wont power on without a psu being plugged in. and it wont fit in other pcie slot

Then sounds like a motherboard issue, but still I would try running the GPus on a different PC (a friend's one or something).
