GPU or PSU issue?

Hello friends,

So I was having some major issues with my PC a while ago; I wasn't able to receive a signal from my GPU and was occasionally not getting my post beep. My onboard GPU was working just fine when I did get my beep so I let it work like that for a while. After some time I was told to replace my PSU, so I went from a FSP-300 to a Cx450m today, went and picked up and started putting it in.

While I was in my PC I cleaned it up, and reseated both my GPU and RAM, just to be safe. I got my post beep but I did not get my GPU signal like I thought, so I tried switching some cords around and was having the same issues as before. While I was troubleshooting however, the entire PC stopped receiving any power.

After hooking up the PSU I could not get the computer to even turn on at all, nor get my fan to spin on my PSU. I'm completely at a loss here, I was expecting to solve my issues not cause more.

Other info:

CPU: Intel (R) i5 @ 3.2
GPU: HdRadeon 5570
Motherboard: H75H-AM2
Old PSU: FSP-300 @300w
New PSU: Cx450m Corsair @450w

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a few things you can check:
1. Is the toggle swtich on the back of the power supply switched on?
2. Is the 20-pin motherboard power connector inserted correctly?
3. Is the 4-pin CPU power connector inserted to the motherboard?
