So I built my gaming pc in august\September, and now I am experiencing some strange problems. Lately when I play games (GTA V, Rocket League and ARK) my fans in the gpu start spinning way to hard, so the noice you normally have is way worse, and the gpu stops giving an output. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is and what I can do against that (Nvidea drivers are up to date)

My specs:
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 8Gb
MSI Z170A Gaming M5 Motherboard
Seagate Barracuda 1TB Storage
2x 4Gb Kingston HyperX DDR4
Intel QuadCore i5 6500
Corsair RM550x
Windows 10 Home

. I enable and check the Show in OSD box for each resource I want to monitor. I can see my GPU temp. is well within tolerances.

I would then head over to my Event Viewer (Right click WIndows icon in taskbar and click on Event Viewer) if the OSD wasn't telling me anything helpful such as my GPU was 79 or 100C at the time it stopped working. The event viewer should have information from the time of the failure.

If that information was too vague I would get my card's manufacturer on the phone. I spent over $300 on my card 1 year ago. Now I can buy it for $100 or 150 :pfff: . It's still under warranty from EVGA so I'd call them and they could lead me through some steps to help determine what the cause is.

One troubleshooting step would be to open the Nvidia Control Panel and click on Help and then click on Debug. This removes any changes such as OC'ing, Gigabyte has done to the GPU after Nvidia was done with it. You don't offer your card's full name so I've no clue if this step is necessary. Go ahead and Google "Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 8Gb". Wait. 8GB? It helps to offer the patient's real full name when taking him to the emergency room.
