Hi all, sorry for the vague title, I'm not entirely sure of the correct title to give.
My gpu really is nothing to shout about, but it does most of what I need.
Currently it's just displaying to my monitor which is fine for the little gaming I do, however in the near future I'm wanting to run a HDMI through to my living room tv in addition for films and such as I've not had much luck with casting/screen sharing.
If I do this, will the gpu constantly output to both monitor and TV, even if the TV is off or using another input?
If it does as I suspect it may, will the gpu be working much harder than usual?
Hope my question makes sense.
Thanks for any responses.

Solution
Secondary screen wont add much extra usage, some, little, hardly any sitting idle unless you game with both or multi task.

Can set Windows to multi monitor and turn tv off at any time without affecting main monitor.
