Question Gpu over heating while playing Wreckfest

Not had an issue with my gpu overheating for awhile. But recently bought Wreckfest and now my gpu reaches 70 degres within 5 mins and shuts off. Other games I play like Call of Duty, Rust, Dayz, Rocket League and GTA 5 I mostly play on high settings and it doesn't overheat. I even installed more fans for cooling and a verticle mount for my gpu, but still overheats and shuts off.

I'm using a Radeon RX 5500 Xt 8gb

What's the Junction Temperature on the GPU?
You might have some other issues, since 70° C is not considered overheating on the GPU.
The max operating temperature for the RX 5500 XT is 110° C and it does not stop when it reaches that temperature..it just starts to throttle or slow down to lower the temperatures.

The last time it did it the temperature was 70°C and the junction temperature was 80°C. I reinstalled afterburner and turned the fan speed up that seemed to help and kept it below 60°C

If 80° C is your max Junction Temperature, then your GPU is not overheating.
WHat's your CPU and motherboard temps?
