I built my first pc about a month ago. I’ve played the forest and apex legends so far as well as basic photoshop and Lightroom work. Randomly yesterday as soon as I load a game and the graphics come up, my gpu load spikes to 99-101% then shortly after the pc will freeze, shut down, and sometimes restart with no notification of anything wrong happening.
my specs are below
Motherboard:ASROCK ab350pro4
Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Gpu: nvidia GeForce gtx 660ti
Ram: Gskill trident z 8gb x2
Psu: thermaltake smart650w
Windows 10

Solution
Hey there,

Typically crashes like that at load, where the PC restarts, indicate a PSU issue. It may be failing. How old is it? Do you have a spare you could try, or perhaps borrow from a friend?
