GPU Padding for System Shipping?

I have sold a PC and i have to ship it, I'm wondering what i can use to use a padding to protect the GPU while it is in shipping. Removing it from the system is not an option, so I'm looking for a cheap and reliable material that wont damage the parts. Thanks!

Anti-static bubble wrap is what professional system builders use:

If youre not from the UK, a quick google search of 'anti-static bubble wrap' will bring it up for you; its usually pink.

Once youve got it, just ball it up inside the system and youre good to go. It is also advisable to place the system motherboard side down, and mark the outer box with a 'this way up - fragile' notice.

There really isnt anything cheaper if you want to get the job done safely. With anything else, you risk generating static electricity as it rubs together, which could damage the system.

Some would argue that you dont really need anything, as long as the Graphics card is seated properly and screwed in firmly to the case. Better safe than sorry.

Its really not that expensive; you can get a 10m roll from ebay for like £5/$10.

It is possible to generate static electricity in paper, so it is not advisable to use it. Anything you put inside your case, and therefore in contact with electrical components MUST be specifically anti-static or it can damage the system, which is why every component you buy comes in its own anti-static packaging, and why system builders use the pink AS bubble wrap.

There is a spray called staticide that you can spray on plastic and paper also so it reduces the static chance.
