Gpu/pc settings help needed

Hi all,
I'm currently running i5 6600K
16 gb ram
Asus z170-K mb
EVGA geforce GTX 1080ti

My problem is, I'm not seeing a great improvement on my games fr,
Or the ability to play on ultra settings within my games.
Before to 1080ti, I was using a 950GTX, and the difference isn't that great.
I'm quite new to all this and don't know if there is any setting on my PC that I need to make,
I've disabled the integrated graphics,
and changed setting from global to the 1080 on the NVIDIA control panel
But again, not a great change..
I'm seeing other people with lesser components reporting that they are getting the frs and playing on the ultra high setting with no problem.
Any help/advice greatly appreciated...

What is the cpu/gpu temps and usage during the game? What is the game? what is the make and model of your psu?

Gpu running 60, I'll check the CPU when I'm on later.
Psu is a corsair 750m...
Games are..overwatch,
Wildlands,
For honor,
Player unknown,battleground..
Battlefield.....
