got a gtx 680 4gb. when i start the computer its fine but after 10 minutes it shots to max usage. i reinstalled the latest driver and still does the same. i also full system scanned with avast and malwarebytes. is there a program that can point out what is using up my gpu power (as in a program that points to the specific program thats taking up the usage). kinda like a task manager for my gpu. i would like to play borderlands but cant. it just started doing it out of no where. any help would be nice.

ps. im using msi after burner to monitor my gpu. and its actually 97% usage not 100% if u want to be technical.

no, only thing i am using is Internet. but even if i exit out of every program its still does it. hmmmm... maybe it is a virus. which would suck cause im not sure how i even got it. just did some side research and found no solutions. i really dont feel like starting up a whole system but i might have to do that... then i have to back up all my crap. what a pain.

i dont know how to do that other then using a program like avast and malwarebytes. and from what i was reading the poeple who had my problem looked for the virus but no one has found it. well im sure people have found it but they never found it with malwarebytes or a virus searching program

WOW, i feel like an idiot. and lazy for that matter. i checked my task manager one more time and check what was running my cpu at 11% (pretty high for a 6 core system) and it was steam. so i ended the steam task and it droped to 05 gpu usage. im a dumbass. dont know why steam is making it go to 100 %. maybe a virus named steam.exe? idk but thanks anyways
