GPU Power Consumption when Idle

I am planning to replace my GT220 with a card that will last for more than 5 years. I have my eyes on the old GTX 760. I chose this card because it is cheap compared to the 1050ti.Its price is not even half the price of a brand new GTX 1050ti. The only problem I see is the power consumption which is about 170w. Although i have a decent power supply, i am a bit curious if this will ramp up my electricity bill even if it will not be used for gaming. It will be idling most of the time as I game only once a month maybe.

Regards

1.
Even on 1xxx, 1050Ti is not that power hungry. xx50 ti or not ti is still not that power hungry.
Anything like xx60, xx70, xx80 with or without Ti...now those are relatively power hungry!

2.
The newer cards have better power management, if you are talking about idle, you should not be worried.
However, it is still...The power consumption under load are ...I dunno how I should say it..but...quite bad. You need to really pay attention to your PSU capacity and your electrical bill.
the 170W you see there is power usage under load not idle.
