Question GPU power draw

Hi All,

I have a question which i am noticing on everyday.

My RTX 3080 Ti GPU is drawing 18 -20 W power when its idle.

But whenever I open any kind of application/software (Like Edge browser, HW info etc). My GPU power draw got spike around 90 watt for 1 or 2 sec until that particular application not fully get opened.

Is it a normal thing? or do I need to do something.

I have already tried to do enable/disable hardware acceleration GPU scheduling in windows 11. Same result as above.

Does your CPU usage also go up when you open up your app in tandem with the GPU usage?

Negligible.

Normal, both applications are tapping the GPU, hence the power bump. My systems responds the same way.
