So, my friend wants to add a r7 250x to his Dell Inspirion PC. The PC has a 300w psu which checks out with the 250x. The problem is that the psu doesn't provide a six pin connector. Is there any way to make this work? Thank you for the feedback.

Solution
there are dual molex to six pin adapters on the market, but really, if a PSU does not have the connectors you want, it probably was never meant to power the item you want to power. while it should work, it will tax that power supply, the results could end badly in the long run.

adapters are not recommended when the psu is so weak

you would be much better off with a gtx 750 ti, there are versions that do not need a pcie 6-pin cable

it's much faster too

adapters are 99% of the time a bad idea unless its a 8pin to 6pin which is very rare
i would get a 750 ti for that or if you have a 250x already you could get away with one of evga's cheap 30$ psus or spend a bit more on a higher quality psu
