I have an Optiplex 7071 that I'm going to be transforming into a storage server. I'll be putting a PERC H730p controller in it to run the SAS drives I want to put into the tower. Right now, the OS is running off one of the M.2 slots, and I have 3x available Sata power plugs that will go into the card. I would like to get a couple more power plugs if possible out of the tower, and i do have a GPU power plug coming out of the power supply. I was wonder if there are adapters out there that will allow for a Sata plug to use the power going through the GPU power plug. I have seen the reverse where people try to run a GPU off Sata plugs, but haven't seen what i'm looking for. Is it possible? Thanks!

Not really. PCIe and EPS only carry 12V. SATA has 12V and 5V, so you would need a DC-DC converter, which gets expensive.

I would just swap the PSU for something with more modular connectors, and get an adapter to plug it into the Dell motherboard.

Moddiy.com tends to carry them, but they are also available on Amazon, Ebay, Aliexpress etc.
