Hello guys,
I have a problem with my brand new Sapphire R9 270X 2GB.
The problem is that, when I connected the 2 6-pin cables and booted the pc the screen was black. After that I reinstalled my old gpu and it works fine.
Is the R9 270X faulty or I have done something wrong?
PS. Before the installation of the R9 270X, I unistalled the drivers of my old GPU.

Solution
Hi

If you can borrrow a LCD screen and If Internal graphics is enabled and AND you connect one screen to internal integrated motherboard or CPU graphics and other screen to Sapphire R9 270X 2GB.
you should be able to see startup screen and from Windows display on both screens.

Then change settings in BIOS to ensure initial startup screen goes to Sapphire R9 270X 2GB.
IGFX is internal graphics, PEG is PCI-e (first x16 pci-e slot) & PCI means PCI slot

sometimes auto setting does not work as expected

My screen is plugged into the GPU and not on the mobo.

Also what do you mean when you said "Bios can select boot screen displayed on integrated or PCI-e card" ?

Can you boot up with screen connected to integrated graphics on motherboard with graphics card in place?

If so look in bios for setting related to choice of display going to graphics card slot pci-e or other
The setting varies between different bios so difficult to advise

Most modern screens have more than one input port
VGA , dvi, hdmi or display port and can detect active port

It has been reported that changing graphics card can send output to integrated graphics output port even though it previously went to graphics card in PCI-
E slot

So you mean that I have to reinstall the new GPU and connect my screen to the integrated graphics on the mobo and then go to BIOS and change that setting?

I haven't tried to boot up with the screen connected to the mobo. Should I?

I took 2 pictures in my BIOS, just check them and see if they are the correct ones.

2nd: http://postimg.org/image/kxq24t8lx/

Should I change anything from these settings?

So now I have to reinstall the new GPU and then connect the VGA to my onboard graphics and the HDMI to the GPU? Right?
And if it works, I will go to the BIOS and change Init Display First to PEG or PCI?
