[SOLVED] GPU/PSU wiring issue

Hello, i purchased a EVGA 3090 FTW3 which requires 3 8 pin connectors, however my PSU (NZXT C1000 gold) came with 3 dual PCIe cables, where it has 2 6+2 connectors on the gpu end, is it okay to plug 2 dual cables into the gpu/psu but leaving one of the 6+2 gpu ends on the second dual cable unplugged and hanging inside of the pc?

That would be okay, however it may be better to use 1 6+2 pin from each cable in order to reduce the current draw on each cable.

Ahh do you mean like using all 3 dual cables but only using 1 of the 6+2 connectors on each of the dual cables and leaving the other side on all 3 unplugged and hanging?
