My Gtx 1080 died yesterday and I have been looking for a replacement for it. I don't really want to spend much more than $500, which left me either a regular 2070, a 2070s, or a 2060s. I've noticed that the regular 2070 and the 2060s are around the same price, but which one has better performance?
Or is the $100 extra for the 2070s worth it?
Or should I just struggle through until the 3000 series launch?
I am currently using my laptop with a 1660ti max q, so it would be possible to wait if that is a much better option, but it's not my first choice because I only have 256 GB of storage on it.

Solution
RTX 2060 super and RTX 2070 have essentially the same performance.
RTX 2070 Super has performance closer to RTX 2080.

So - if 2070 Super fits your budget, then this would be the way to go.
