Hi,
I noticed after installing a new driver that my GPU runs at max clock speed (645 mhz), even when idle. Both the memory and gpu clock speeds are maxed out, but when I run GPU-Z, the clock speeds settle down to normal idle speeds after a few seconds. Is this a fluke or is there something wrong? I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.

My GPU is a Nvidia GeForce GT 640M.

It wasn't like this before, which is why I'm concerned.

What is your GPU usage? And CPU Usage (while idle)

0% GPU usage, 4% CPU Usage while idle

Don't have it installed at all

Hi,

I had the same problem with my fx6300 processor, after a long research , I came to know its some thing to do with my BIOS settings, I reset my bios to default settings and I could solve the issue without spending a dime on it 🙂

did that fix your problem? because I'm having the same issue with my pc. 0 percent activity but at 50 degrees
