Question GPU running at PCIe x8 2.0 instead of PCIe x16 2.0

The BIOS doesn't have any PCI settings, I tried re-seating GPU, clearing CMOS and many more. If anyone had this problem and figured it out without BIOS settings, please share your solution.

That's a normal GPU behavior. It won't always run at the FULL PC-Express bus speed. Click on the "question Mark" next to the GPU-Z BUS Interface entry, and start a small RENDER TEST.

This will put some light load on the GPU. When the test is running, monitor the values once again. The speed should now show as x8. 3.0, or X16.

Make sure the GPU is inserted on the primary PCI-E slot on your Mobo.

The card is obviously inserted in the x16 primary PCI-e slot, also my link state power managment is turned off.
When playing games or running the [?] render test it always stays at x8

Is your secondary PCI-Express x4 SLOT vacant, or is it occupied ? Are you using any Sound card ? Are you sure there are no settings in the BIOS ?
