Hey, so I've made some forum posts before asking for some advice regarding my future PC, but I keep running into different dilemmas. I will be a junior in high school next year, and I have just completed my summer job, earning enough money to buy my somewhat expensive PC components. The thing is, I just can't decide on the graphics card. I will have about $1,450 when I get paid next, but I don't want to spend all of my money on a PC. This will be my first custom pc build, but I've been studying and researching for enough time that I would say I know a fair amount about computers. I have a few theoretical builds setup, with a gtx 780 powered one and gtx 770 powered one being the two main competitors. On one hand, I have enough to buy the 780 pc at around $1230, but if I go with the 770, it will be about $1100, and I could have some extra cash. It would be nice to save a couple of bucks, and, gaming at 1920x1080p, it is a bit overkill to get a gtx 780, even though part of me would like the bragging rights and "future proofing" abilities that the 780 will provide. Also, I have a very busy schoolyear ahead packed with late night studying and sports. I also owe my little brother $50 and would like to buy my Dad a new pair of (~$100) shoes. I guess I'm just wondering if it would be worth the extra $100~ to get the 780 given my circumstances. Any opinions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks guys
