Gpu selection help

I have a 1920x1080 monitor and i want to choose an r9 290 OR r9 290x gpu/
1st. Its better to buy 290x or the difference of perfomrnace is litlle and the money is waste?
2ond.I am bettween (powercolor PCS+ ) ,(saphire vapor-x tri-x oc), (xfx black oc edition) ,, (gigabyte oc windforce 3x) ...I want 1000+Mhz clock and 5Ghz++ memory..Help...

I find that the 290 is worth your dollar a little more than the 290X. Especially on 1080p.

if I may offer you some other advise. either wait for the new AMD series, or get a card from the new nvidia series that laucnhed last week.
a gtx 970 has a better performance then the r9 290x and it's cheaper, gets less hot and uses less power.

evga has faulty heatsinks, so dont suggest evga cards till they release new coolers

well i dont care really for the heatsink i can get watercool ......but amd r9 290x has 512 bit bus and 970 256 bit//............its the double also and r9 290x has 428 euro and gtx 970 strix 400 is not a big diference ...

but as answer on the original question, if you realy want to go with amd, eventhough you can get better performance for less money...then yes the r9 290 is worth the extra money

well the cheapestr9290x is at least 400 something euros isnt it? I remember looking into an r9 290x aswell, but I changed my mind when the gtx 970 came out
