gpu selection, need help!

How much better is an r9 280x compared to an r9 270x, they both would be paired up with an i3-4150 cpu but ill be upgrading that soon to an i5 of some grade. how much more fps would i get with the 280x as opposed to the 270x? i kind of need a keyboard and mouse as well so should i just go with the 270x to save money for peripherals

You are looking at ~25-30% performance difference between the cards.
The 270x is a good, cheap mainstream card, the 280x is better for performance builds.

From some research I've done, it appears that if you went with the R9 280x, you'd probably get a good ten to twenty more FPS, average. But the R9 270x is still a pretty nice card, if you wanted to get your peripherals. But, then again, you could go ahead and get the better card, make do with what keyboard and mouse you have, and then sixty bucks later, you have yourself a gaming keyboard and mouse. I'd recommend going ahead and getting the better card, because you don't need a fifty dollar gaming mouse to game, but great FPS is necessary.
