Hello,
When trying to pick out a good GPU for a media center, how do you best determine how much fan noise to expect from a card? Some cards specifically state they are 0db (normally fanless), but most cards I'm looking at don't specify how many db worth of fan noise to expect from them. Ideas?

Any fan that spins will make some noise.
I would imagine that would be a killer for a media center pc.

Fortunately, for such simple things as HD movie playback, integrated graphics or a fanless card should be sufficient.

If you will be gaming, and need high fps for shooters, that is another matter.
Even a fanless card needs some case airflow, so you might need added case cooling, and that means more fan noise.
