Gpu shut off

Hello I have an MSI rx 580 8gb v1 that I just bought used on ebay. Whenever I fully stress the gpu it will last about a minute and the the screen will go black and the gpu fans will go up 100% but the PC itself will stay running. I have tried a couple different power supplies and the same thing happens. Does this gpu shutting down mean that it is thermal throttling or does it mean that something is wrong with the card?

most likely a bad card, what temps are you getting?
