Hey guys

Ok so, i bought a new PC Setup, with an mATX Motherboard - maybe its my fault for not checking case specifications, but i really liked the CoolerMaster K350 and bought it, it was cheap

So, installed everything correctly, motherboard went in fine using the provided instructions, and screwed in all good

When i installed my ASUS R9 380x Strix, the HDMI socket in the back was being blocked partially by a small black rubber thing at the back of the case - i couldnt plug in the HDMI cable, as it wouldnt go all the way in

So to solve this, i let the GPU slightly tilt forward, with the HDMI Cable plugged in, just enough that it wasnt being blocked

Long story short, its all screwed in, ive had no performance issues ( yet ) and it seems fine. i just wanted to ask if anyone else has ever had this experience

Here are some pictures, as u can see it looks like its perfectly fine in the PCI socket, and its all stable and wont budge, in the 3rd pic u can see the black bar thing that it was being blocked by

Solution
If you used HDMI cable with slim connector, you'd probably be able to connect it without tilting graphics card.

Hm, when i look at it, no parts of the bottom are sticking out of the socket, and it wont budge at all, it seems pretty secure. still scares me though

But their isn't much i can do about it as sending it back would be a huge hassle.

I just dont understand why a case would even have this issue, especially from coolermaster, its a mid tower gaming case and said it supports long graphics cards

i also ran Furmark for 30 minutes and saw no issues

i'm just not sure what i can do about it

thanks for the advice, tbh i never move the pc, or really touch it. though the backplate thats screwed on with 2 screws to hold the card in place has 4 screw holes free, and it is kinda comforting to hear that someones seen this before and seen it work for years

Would it be a good idea to just grab 4 screws and screw that in to make sure it wont budge

thanks 😀

btw, i found somebody with a different case, but by the same people coolermaster who had the EXACT same issue, its a much clearer picture which will u guys an idea of whats happening

the advice given to this guy was to loosen the screws and let the card kinda fall down abit till u have room, thats basically what i did, is i let the card kinda naturally slide down a tad, and then screwed it all on

i also rang the guys i bought it all from, they instantly knew what i was saying and said its become quite common in cases over the past few years, they see it alot, and said just let the GPU kinda naturally droop down and screw it in and its fine
