Question GPU sparked after new PSU

Was on it one day and it randomly turned off, not like a shut down turned off but instant black screen and then refused to turn back on. Thought it was the PSU so I ordered a new one, got it and hooked it up and didn’t turn on at first but once we turned it off and back on again it caused a spark within the GPU and the port which attaches it with the PSU after that we shut it off and cleaned and did what we could to rule out any possible cause of it but now it doesn’t even work at all. What could have caused the graphics card to spark?
