I was playing a game one day on steam and out of nowhere my pc shutoff, it wouldn't turn back on until I unplugged everything and re-plugged it back up, then it would turn on but my GPU fans would be on full blast like a leaf blower and my GPU would not be detected at all, I've had this PC for a good 2 years with no problems, I was wondering if my GPU completely pooped itself or if there is any room left to save it. I can still get on my pc and everything fine through plugging my HDMI into the MB, but no detection at all from my GPU.

I have the exact same problem. Specs:
Power Supply Corsair CX500 500W

Processor Intel Core i5 6400 2.7Ghz

Processor Cooler Coolermaster Hyper 103

RAM 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400Mhz [2x4GB]

Motherboard Gigabyte B150-HD3P

Graphics card Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 2GB

Everything was fine a few days ago, but today I booted up a game and it said my hardware had changed. My GPU is no where to be seen on my devices, not even on hidden devices. If I plug my hdmi into my gpu not my motherboard all I get is black screen. I tried to update nvidia drivers but it won't let me as apparently I don't have a graphics card.
I have tried uninstalling all nvidia drivers, taking the card out and placing back in, removing windows updates, disabling integrated graphics on my bios.
Edit- Just to add that my card is getting power, all fans are on.
Please help!

I have got the same problem, cannot find a fix, I have tried everything, maybe your BIOS needed an update so it disabled the GPU. search your MotherBoard brand and see if there is any BIOS updates available, try watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKwFHU8ka5I you may have some luck. If none of that works try hire a PC technician to check your build out or if you can maybe try it on a different PC. If none of those solutions work you might have to return your GPU, but it probably isn't the best idea as I ordered another GPU and it still didn't work.
