I've had an R9 290 GPU for several years now, far past it's warranty date.
At first the computer stopped showing any display on the monitor, so I have done the following tests:
Different HDMI cable
Different Monitor with same/different HDMI cable
Booting with each stick of RAM individually
Re-installing CPU into motherboard and re-applying thermal paste, in case CPU was loose
Booting with VGA cable from MOBO
When booted through VGA, computer works fine from integrated graphics, when booted with VGA and HDMI connected, works fine but no GPU is detected
No display appears at all when connected to GPU through HDMI, however it does not say that there is a missing input, so my conclusion seems to be that the GPU has died. Any other possible causes besides a dead GPU?

RAM: 8GB across 4 sticks
MOBO: GA-78LMT-S2PV
