[SOLVED] GPU stops and spins on repeat

Hi,

I have the following issue with my newly built PC, my gpu fans spin and stop repeatedly on a loop. I haven't encountered any other issues, but would like to know is this normal or how can it be fixed, my CPU and case fans spin normally.
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 Dual OC
Motherboard: MSI B550 Carbon wifi
RAM: 2x16GB 3200MHz Kingston FuryX
CPU: Ryzen 3600

I have installed the latest GPU drivers but not the AMD chipset.

gpu fans only spin at a certain temp you can use msi afterburner to set a manual fan curve to fix this hope this helps
