GPU suddenly overheating while gaming

So i noticed that my internet was lagging while gaming and went to see my temperatures, i noticed that GPU is at 85 celsius while gaming. (48 idle) It worked fine yesterday and earlier today but now whatever game i open the temps rise to over 80 celsius. I cleaned the dust that was visible on my pc. I don't have any clue what causes this overheating. And when i start a game my ping goes to over 500 immediately. All the other temps are fine btw.
My specs:
GPU MSI Aero GTX 1080 Ti (Not overclocked)
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
MOBO: MSI X370 SLI PLUS
RAM: 16 GB
And i also have this WiFi card right below my GPU.

Thanks for help in advance!

Solution
That's worth a try, moving the Wifi card to see if there's a difference.

Your GPU is a single fan solution, but exhausts the heat out of the case. So the heat from the GPU shouldn't really effect your system case temps or adjacent hardware. Still worth a try though.
Install program called MSI afterburner and you can turn the GPU fan speed up that might cool down your temperature while gaming because my GPU gets hot while gaming and check the back off the gpu and the fan air is so warm!

Just to be clear, just because the temp is hitting 80c on your GPU doesn't mean it's overheating. In fact that GPU can get up to its max of 91c at full pelt.

Your okay, nothing is going wrong with your GPU. You can perhaps add in some case fans to help with airflow, or increase the fan curve for the GPU so the fans kick in at a higher speeds at lower temps, thus keeping the overall GPU temp in check.

Okay dude. I switched the WiFi card on top of GPU so it doesn't overheat and lag my internet.

I already have it and my fan is running pretty high and no effect on temps. 🙁

Changing the fan curve will impact, but as I mentioned you've a single fan type card. It's gonna get hot! But you've nothing to worry about. If you saw a decrease in performance, or drops in FPS that you expect, then I'd be thinking about it more.

How many case fans have you got? What direction to they blow.? Ideally you want one or two fans at the front sucking in air, and blowing it over the mobo/CPU. The CPU cooler hopefully will be directed to the rear of the chassis/case, and then a rear fan helping to exhaust the heat.

Also, what games are you playing? You said it happens in all games. If the GPU is being used at 100% load then it's quite possible all games would make it that hot.

I've a GTX1060 6gb. It runs about 65-75c full pelt gaming. Depending on if the game is more GPU dependant, the temps can go even higher and sit at 80c. So what your describing isn't unusual.

Finally, you said your internet is lagging. What service do you have? i.e Up/down speeds, contention ratio etc. Have you tested with speedtest to see your up/down speeds, and ping? Are you connected by WiFi/Ethernet/power-line?
