Question GPU tanks it after a few mins of games

The game will run fine at max fps for a few mins and then it will just drop and stay low

Any ideas? Ive recently thermal pasted and temp doesn't seem to be an issue
Recently formatted
Tried different settings
i close all apps and still get the problem
disabled all overlays
Let apps run in the background option to Off.
Tried back dating to many different drivers
Im using a 2080 ti its about 4 years old and this is what happens

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

What game are you playing? What else, if anything, is running in the background?

PSU: make, model, wattage, age (4 years?), condition ( original to build, new, refurbished used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

Look in Reliability History. Any error codes, warnings, or even informational events when the fps "drops low"?
