I just purchased an Acer Aspire 7 notebook with the following system characteristics: Intel Core i7 7700 HQ, 16RAM and GTX 1050 Ti. When I ran The Witcher 3 GPU temperatures rocketed to something like 78-79 C (read with MSI Afterburner). I checked the game settings to find them set mostly on ultra so I lowered them to low's and some medium's but temperature dropped only like 2-3 C. I've never had a laptop before so your ideas and feedback will be strongly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well laptop's do run hotter due to reduced airflow and everything being so cramped in together. You can always use a cooling pad to help bring the temps down a bit otherwise you could always set an fps cap as well to limit the stress on your system.
