I've been told by members here that connecting a 780 to this rig, will bottleneck the 780. The only solution is to build a new PC but Ive am thinking of waiting until the new gtx 800 series and intels Broadwell processors comes out.

So my question is what is the latest GPU that will connect to this rig that will not be bottlenecked as am thinking of giving this rig to my nephew when I build a new rig. He has been nagging for a gaming pc, but he also asked for a PS3 and he only played 2 games with it.

One GPU or 2 in SLI/Crossfire. Am okay with changing the PSU.

Here's a suggestion: Get the GTX780 (and a better PSU to feed it) and see how it runs. If it's not fast enough, well, you've got the card for your next build, if it is you've saved yourself a lot of cash.

I'll assume a single 1080 monitor for your nephew and some decent eye candy/ framerates will be needed to show up his (sneer) console owning friends, so minimum would be a R9 270 with the GTX760 being top choice.
And check the TT PSU has the right PCI-E leads/wattage to run whichever card you choose.

Do you think the current build with new psu will handle 2xGTX 760 without being bottlenecked by the cpu?

Our advice is obviously going to hinge on your plans, wheather you play on one or both of those very nice displays and what budget you have.
As the resolution increases the workload shifts away from the CPU and onto the graphics system, so if you're gaming on both 120Hz 1080 monitors I think the restriction with dual GTX760s will be minimal, like I said, the installed i7 is still a good CPU, even by current standards and the OC will be a definite help.
If you're gaming on one display, a single GTX760 is enough for ultra gameplay in most games (or one step down in the REALLY heavy hitters like BF4) if you disable AA.
If you are currently gaming on the GTX460 in the listed specs you're in for a very large surprise if you upgrade. 😉

Thanks for the info Coozie7
