[SOLVED] Gpu Thermal Throthelling

So I was just playing the division 1 today and just wanted to check my gpu temps and I saw like 93 and I was like tf after that I opened msi afterburner and now my card won't go over 60 degrees and I'm getting no frames what is this?
My rig is GTX 1060 6G
I5-8400

Lmao ofc dude as I said I just checked the temps and nothing worked after for some reason just getting no frames

I've had the pc for like a year and now I just get no frames on fortnite everything else worked after a while

My gpu temps just stay at a solid 54 when fortnite is running when it's supposed to be around 82 for some reason my pc just won't let it go any higher

Did you accidentaly set a framerate limit in RivaTunerStatistics? It comes with MSI AB.

I mean when I open msi afterburner it just locks my temps to 60 or smth it just won't go over that and I don't know even how to set a frame rate limit

So I would reinstall the newest drivers for your GPU with DDU. It is a fast and potential solution.

I would also try removing and reinstalling MSI AB to get rid of any framerate limits you may have unintentionally set, or try to go through all the settings to find such options if they exist.

Another thing you can do is check your windows Power Plan and make sure that the setting for pcie power management is set to no power savings.

I figured it might be something simple like a framerate limit. Try checking around in the settings for that and set it to 0. It may also be in the RivaTunerStatistics program which comes with MSI AB for OSD support in games.
