gpu to compliment my i7.

just upgraded my baby to an i7 4790k and my ancient 2gb 7790 is NOT cutting it anymore, so i'm curious as to what is the best buy right now in the 200-350$ price range for a gpu. also in need of a new psu so throw suggestios my way please.

970 GTX. You may not need a new PSU going with that.

GTX 970 is your best bet. Good all around gpu for the price it will land you around $330. Good luck with your build. I would recommend the msi or gigabyte gpu.

probably not but i'm running a bronze standard cx430 that i've had for 2 years or so now its time for an upgrade 😛 i'll probably just end up picking up a 600-750w psu off amazon. any particular 970 in mind?

Get a 850w-1000w

^ why? A good 750w psu is enough to run 2 970s in SLI.

sure a 750w might be enough but would you rather squeeze every single peace of energy off your PSU and limiting future upgrades?

A system with a 4790k and dual 970s will only use around 500w. I have seen people run dual 970s on 650w and it works just fine. Personally I wouldn't suggest anything under 750w.
