GPU Too Hot?

I recently bought a new computer:

GPU: EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 770 W/ACX cooling

CPU: i7 3770

Ram: 16GB

I was playing Crysis 3 for about 45 minutes, I realized my GPU was at 83c. This was the hottest it ever got but my fan speed was at 98%. Is it bad that my GPU is this hot? When I'm not playing video games, it stays around 34c-45c. I am in an EXTREMELY hot room, and my case doesnt have that good of airflow, but still is it bad to have my GPU that hot?

Thanks!

I'd personally disagree that 83c at 98% fan speed is OK. Given the ACX cooling design, youre going to want effective airflow through the case. Take some time (and 40.00) to perform some cable management and add fans where appropriate. Check out some push/pull...
Yes, your GPU is indeed hot.

If you could cool it down to 75ºC that'd be great. Try improving case airflow, or in those really hot days try opening the sidepanel to see if it improves temperatures.

@rolli59 - Max temperature is the temperature after which components are getting damaged and/or the GPU shuts down. Above 80ºC lifetime starts reducing.

EDIT: Went to get my GPU's case which says expected lifetime is of 18 years at 75ºC, 10 years at 80ºC, so you can see lifetime decreases fast. It's a GTX 760.
