Ok so i'm using an ITX case for my pc, a Silverstone Sugo 13:

I'm going to buy a Sapphire RX 580 Pulse GPU for the next month but I'm a little concerned about the space in my case. Right now i'm using a very old GPU just for basic games, it's a Powercolor HD 4670, and here is what it looks like in my case:

I may have screwed up with the size of the PSU but it still fits. But my concern is since the Sapphire RX 580 has a backplate, it will probably touch the case of the PSU. Is this ok? Not really knowledgeable with electric currents but will there be no static electricity or something coming off and going to the GPU?

My PSU is a Seasonic M12II-520 Evo 80plus bronze

And just for the heck of it here's the product page for the Sapphire RX 580

Some other info:
How large a GPU the case can hold -> Compatible up to 10.5" (266mm) long, width restriction-5.11" (129mm)
Sapphire RX 580 size -> 230(L)X 125(W)X 40 (H) Dimension /mm

Solution
The width and height of ATX PSUs is standard as it is dictated by the fit for the rear mount footprint, you would have the same "issue" with any other ATX PSU.

Since the GPU has a backplate, that eliminates the possibility of a short-circuit between the GPU and PSU housing, so that's one less thing to worry about as long as it fits.
