Question GPU tripps PSU only when plugged in.

I recently bought a broken gpu for parts but I thought that I might try and fix it. When plugged in with all power connectors, the psu makes a click sound and shuts everything off until restart. It is not the psu as I have the exact same card that I use in a daily basis in the same pc. When I remove a certain power connecter it powers on and the gpu lights up but now with no output. On the pcb there is a slight brown shade that looks like burning but no obvious things look wrong. I have tried the oven method with no success, anyone have any ideas?

sounds like the card is drawing too much power, ie short circuit somewhere, the power spike is triggering a protection in the PSU.
you remove the 12V aux power to the card and the PSU stay stable but the card is not powered fully, fully power the card and trip goes the breaker.

cards dead.
