Gpu trouble R9 270

No signal but fans spinning on gpu I have no idea what’s wrong it’s plugged in via dvi and I have disabled onboard graphics but it only shows up as a pci e device not a display adaptor the only thing that works for me is the onboard graphics right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have it plugged in but I am using a six pin splitter though

No I don’t have a hdmi cable and I don’t think it’s the bios do you think it might be dead?

It says adapter not detected would it show in the pci port if it was dead is there another way to check it won’t install drivers because it doesn’t detect it. + thanks for your assistance.
