This is my first ever post, but i have a problem. it isnt really a problem, more of annoyance if anything.

i have a Geforce RTX 3060 XLR8 GPU which turns off every time i turn on the computer, but whenever i get on the VelocityX program it will turn back on. It just bothers me that i have this problem. any help?

my specs are:

is there anything i can do specifically so i dont have to turn it on every time i want to boot up my computer? if not thanks it’s just an annoyance and it takes a while to boot everything up because of the gpu

If there's display the GPU is working as it should.
Use MSI Afterburner if you want to change the fanprofile of the GPU.

You better worry about the garbage PSU you have. Bad quality, terrible voltage regulation, high ripple and bad protections. Thermaltake Smart don't belong in any system.

lol, yeah any recs on any psus?

it does turn on with everything else, but i have to open velocityx to get it to turn on the fan its self

As mentioned above, fans shouldn't turn on until some GPU temperature is reached, typically about 50c then start slowly speeding up with temperature raise. If it's regulated by that software it should autostart with Windows-

The thing is, you have two choices.

You can either live with the stock hardware cooling configuration, that happens automatically, OR, you can choose to use one of the "tweak" utilities like Afterburner, BUT, if you WANT the tweak utility to control GPU fan behavior you MUST leave it open. That can be in the system tray, which is the standard way to do it, or just plain "open" in the taskbar. Either way, if the tweak utility is not still "open" it will not control anything and the GPU fan behavior will immediately revert to it's normal behavior which IS/DOES turn the fans off until they reach a certain temperature. THIS, is NOT a problem. I don't prefer it, because I want the fans on all the time, at least at very minimal RPM, but many don't mind it and it IS normal.

So bottom line is if you DO want the utility to control things, you MUST leave it open. That means, configure it to start with Windows AND select the option to "minimize to the tray" so that it is ALWAYS running so long as Windows is.
