I am switching to a triple monitor setup with the aim of gaming in surround, probably in portrait mode due to a lack of desk space.

My current GPU is the EVGA 660ti SC 2GB, which I am sure will be able to play games in surround but will probably have pretty choppy frame rates with higher settings.

My question is what would be the best move to make in terms of an upgrade. I am going to be working with UK electronics prices which can be pretty extortionate.

What I have come up with is to get another 660ti and run SLI, However my current PSU is a OCZ 600w and I read that the minumum power for these card in sli would be about 620w - so price wise were looking at £230 for the card and around £70 for another PSU.

So then, I am thinking if I am spending £300 I am getting close to GTX 680 prices at around £400, which would run on my current power supply. I could also probably recoup some money by putting my 660ti on ebay afterwards.

Which of these 2 moves would people think would be the best to make performance wise and financially speaking.

I will include the rest of my setup in case that influences the decision.

I7-3770k OC to 4.5ghz
8GB 1600 corsair vengeance (Low Profile to accomodate giant Noctua cooler)
Asus Sabertooth Z77 MoBo
Evga 660ti SC 2GB edition
OCZ Vector 128gb SSD
1TB storage drive
OCZ Modular 600w PSU
Coolermaster HAF-x case

if you can, going for the single best gpu you can vs sli or xfire is usually the way to go, but in this case, it maybe better for you to go with a sli setup because it performs better then the single 680 (though the 680 will run slightly cooler and draw les power for obvious reasons) It will help you with the 3 monitor setup because you will have more vram to handle the multimonitor setup with the sli 660s. Buy another 660, buy a new psu, sell your old psu and you're good to go.
