Hi, I (impulse bought) a MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and am waiting on it's arrival in the mail. However, I completely avoided researching to see if my PC is compatible straight out of the box w/out further upgrades.
Here's my PC specs and a link to the full description.
Thanks for helping me out, I really don't trust myself 100% to research hardware related topics on my own, I avoid lazy posts for answers I could solve on my own, but this one I'd love your expertise!

I think you'll be fine. 2 things.

1. Shame that you had to pay that much. These cards should really cost 140-150 if not for the mining craze. I paid 209 for mine.

2. The power supply in your PC should be enough. They recommend 300 watts for a 1050ti, so if that is a quality power supply it should be ok. I looked that card up on newegg, and it looks like that card needs a 6 pin power connector though. If your power supply is generic, you may want to consider upgrading. Maybe something like this or better.

There are probably better choices on that front, but a but a low quality power supply can cause issues.

What is the current make/model power supply in there now?

Thanks for helping me out! Also, I know I was cornered into over-paying but no shame in tax refund carelessness. Here's the power supply I currently have
(Ultra LS Series 500W Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, PCI-Express, 3-Year Warranty - LS500)

Without knowing that much about that power supply, can't find much in the way of specs, I think you'll be ok, but you'll want to replace it when you can with something better.

I will say as well, when you are ready to upgrade later to ryzen, it is a nice performance boost. For the mean time though, when you upgrade power supplies, if you are able to overclock the FX 6300, that helps a little too.
