i own a Dell M6700 laptop with i5-3320m and Quadro k3000m (I don't use the optimus function). I would like to ask you what would be the best affordable GPU upgrade for this laptop and whether the I5 would be compatible with the GTX970m. (Sorry for my English)

Yes it's possible, as stated in this thread. Make sure you're on the latest BIOS before you drop in any hardware as an upgrade.
