GPU upgrade for MB ASUS B85-PLUS

Hi!

My current specs (last pc upgrade was 4 years ago) are:
i7-4790, quad core, 3,60ghz, 8MB, LGA1150, 22nm, 84W, VGA
Motherboard ASUS B85-PLUS / Intel B85, 4 DIMM, DDR3, 1600 Dual Channel
Ati Radeon R9 270x, 2 GB DDR5 (256 bit), HDMI, DVI, DP
750w PSU Chieftech
RAM Kingston 16GB 1866 Mhz DDR3
120GB SSD for OS and standard HDDs for everything else.
Other stuff (2 hdd, tv card, sound card)

I`m thinking upgrading only my gpu to GTX 1080 (after looking for best price/performance option for my rig specs). As plan it to keep these specs going for 4 more years for some gaming, and htc vive. I don`t think there is a point waiting for 1180 for me, as I don`t think I want to pay that kind of money and it won`t be used fully on my current specs. Also looks like my 1080 is compatible with my MB. What is Your opinion on this? And what`s the difference between these two (as price difference is around 100 eur)?

- If you have a regular ATX case it would be more interesting overclocking wise to go for a dual/ triple fan cooled GPU known to run cooler, quieter and achieve higher overclock if needed, especially if the price is similar to the blower fan : either Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming, (best performance),EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC Gaming ACX 3.0 ( great performance and warranty) or ASUS RoG Strix GTX 1080 OC (for performance and cooling)
- Gigabyte is great choice of blower fan 1080 for small form factor case.

VGA Card max length :270 mm for your case
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC Gaming ACX 3.0 267 mm : good.
Asus Rog Stix 1080 won't fit (298 mm)
Gigabyte won't fit (280mm)

Blower fan GPU
Gigabye = 280mm won't fit
Zotac 1080 blower fan 267 mm : good.

If I`m not mistaken, then Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming is a bit (1cm) too long, so the good choice would be EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC Gaming ACX 3.0? Looks like it is compatible with my MB.

As in between EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC Gaming ACX 3.0 and ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080, 8GB GDDR5X (256 Bit), Blower Cooler, better choice would be EVGA?

Definitely the EVGA, especially if the price difference is not too large and if your case has a good airflow.
